No Fear began as an alternative lifestyle clothing brand that was created in 1989 by Marty Moates, Mark Simo, and Brian Simo. The first line of No Fear shirts featured existential slogans or quotes that touted the virtues of extreme sports. The themes; lack of fear of death, lack of laziness, contempt for social norms and the law.
